Feeling grateful today for my 2 sweet little girls, Shelby & Sydney. At the end of the day I want to live my life in a way that they are proud of.
Almost everyday I take Shelby to school While we drive I pray 3 things with her every time: 1. That she has a great attitude. If I can instill one thing in them, it’s that “attitude determines your altitude”. I don’t want (and won’t tolerate) nasty, cynical attitudes. They need to be young ladies who respect themselves by their demeanor. 2. That she’s helpful to one person. I want them to know that making an effort to help someone is the heart of Jesus. There are no amount of prayers they can pray and/or verses they can learn that will ever trump simply helping someone who needs it. 3. That she knows she’s loved. I want my girls to be secure in this fact. That their family loves them. That Jesus loves them. That they’ll never do anything to make us stop. I think that feeling loved & accepted breeds security in people.
I love my girls. I hope that they know this. I hope that I am able to lead them well.

Shelby and Syndey are certainly blessed to have two loving, caring and morally grounded parents such as Melissa and you. They have a fine example of a faithfilled Godly father’s life be shown to them every day. There is no doubt whatsoever that they don’t know that their Daddy loves them with all his heart!
